RFX was built with competition shooters and military professionals in mind. This is not a CLP in the mil-spec sense. CLP’s are typically the lowest-cost oil that meets the specification. This was designed with performance and the end-user in mind, not economics. It’s a fully synthetic, low-viscosity oil that flows faster and gets into tighter spots than our FMO formula, making it perfect for high-ROF firearms, extended use between cleanings, and dirty/cheap ammunition (e.g. cheap 22lr, bulk 5.56 NATO, etc…).

What really sets RFX apart is its self-cleaning action; it’s loaded with proprietary additives that actually dissolve carbon fouling as it forms. That means your firearm stays cleaner, runs smoother, and keeps its lubricity even after thousands of rounds.

Like our FMO Gun Oil, RFX is odorless, and packed with corrosion inhibitors, anti-wear, and extreme pressure additives to keep things protected under stress. It’s got a temperature range from -65°F to 450°F, which far exceeds typical CLPs. To accomplish this temperature range is maintains a 20.5 cSt viscosity at 104°F and 3460 cSt viscosity at -40°F which drastically exceeds MIL-SPEC to ensure lubrication even in the most demanding climates without the respiratory hazards associated with low viscosity lubricants. And while RFX does clean, lubricate, and protect, we don’t call it a CLP because it simply lasts longer and performs better than anything in that category.

If you’re just looking to strip out powder residue while keeping your barrel copper/lead fouled for accuracy, RFX also exceeds CLP MIL-SPEC for carbon removal, so it doubles as a carbon solvent and high-end lubricant in one.
